I Need Your Help Please With Channels Freezing

I hope I am not becoming a pest in asking for your help and advice again, I do appreciate all the help you have given me.

The problem is that all most every package on any satellites freez, when I go on to a channel the picture is fine for at least 5 mins or so and it then starts to freeze about every 2 or 3 mins lasting for a few seconds or so or the picture just locks up. The only package my husband can watch with out it freezing is the Dutch Film 1 and Film2 on Astra 19, it seems he can watch a film from start to end with no problems at all.

The sky channels from Astra 28 write across to Thor seem to have the same freeze problem, we use a Net gear wifi router which the internet cable is connected to it from one room where the computer is and then its connected to the dreambox in another room .I hope again every thing I have told you makes sense, I got my husband this set up so that he would be able to see what he wanted and just want it to run as smooth he as it can for him.

I hope this information helps as well ,the box is a copy and its a 2meg Aol line and the wifi router is from them.Would a much better wifi router help ,or not.:confused:
 
sounds like your card sharing and the card your trying to access are a long way away from your box,
If your not paying for the channels i.e. have the card in your box, Then dont expect them to ever work and then what you do get is always a bonus.
 
Definitely sounds like you are card sharing.

The picture freezes when the keys change and the update across the net is slow. A common problem with card shares.

A better router wont make any difference at all - you need a better card share.

If you want guaranteed uninterrupted viewing then you need to be subscribing to your preferred package(s).
 
Thank you all once again for your replys, with been new to card sharing you just don’t know who is the best to go with to give you the channels you would like to see without the freezing problem I just wish I new.
