Apparently my dish is not suitable for the monoblock I bought, so I must add an extra lnb to add Astra 1 to my Hotbird aligned dish.

The multi-lnb brackets I have seen are quite expensive.
Is there anyway I can make my own bracket out of maybe twisted up coat hanger wire?.

Probably a bad example of what I could use but I don't have any bright ideas.
I have included a picture of the setup, can anyone help with suggestions of what I could use to make my own bracket?.

Almost any 60 - 90cm dish is suitable for a monobloc LNB, the dish you have appears to be a Raven Gemini and this would work well with one. If you want to achieve a little more, Raven do East and West offset brackets for two satellites, so you could quite easily receive 28.2, 19.2 and 13E, or perhaps with slim fit LNBs, the addition of 16E.

I had an installer try for a long time to get the monobloc working but he couldn't do it.
I was told by others that the F/D of the dish was perhaps not suitable for a monobloc.
I am open to the fact that it is ok but I can't seem to remove the dish arm LNB holder as it is bolted at the attaching area and the screws are all very rusted.
The screw doesn't seem to have an area to grip on to but it needs to be removed to change LNB.

Unfortunately the digital camera is on the blink but I have included another picture to get an idea if the dish is suitable for monobloc or multi lnb use?.
From the position the dish is installed it has been able to get both Astra and Hotbird.

With regards to the LNB holder Rolf.
You know the ones that hold the LNB and you can screw off the top half of the circle shape?, this is not how this one works.

The entire plastic LNB holder has to be unscrewed at the point it screws on to the metal dish arm.
Now, there is some kind of bolt that keeps all this in place.
But it doesn't seem to be able to be gripped in anyway.
It looks browned from rust and looks like the top of a drawing pin in that it is a completely smooth with nothing to grip on the other side.
So I'm stuck with this as I can't remove it.
Professionals have been there before with the correct tools and have had no trouble, but I'm clueless.

Strange, where is the split to allow removal of the LNB, I should recognise the fitting, but I don't, most of them either have the top clamp with two screws, the whole bracket splits in the vertical plane normally with three nuts and bolts, or there are some which interlock at the top and then fasten with two scres/nuts and bolts, or plug inot to a normally rectangular boom.

OK, then there must be something which is accessible with a scewdriver or small spanner.

Thanks Rolf,
A spanner might do it actually.
I'll have to check that out.

Any ideas of how I might make my own bracket?.

Thanks for the heads up on the cheap holder.

I had another look at the bolt and it does seem to be a screw and a bolt but their heads looks dont look like they can be gripped.
A spanner as Rolf said might do the trick but do you twist the bolt or the screw itself.
I'm a DIY newcomer!.

Here is a link to a page that features the device I have along with a picture.
It seems a bit different to other ones I have seen.
http://sart.com.pl/c_product_info.php/products_id/165

It is model number UN5121 and shows up on google.

It is probably a coach bolt, so you just undo the nut. :)

There are a few types of oofset brackets around, the most common looks like this

I made up an lnb bracket as well, must be the weekend for itO-Ha
was sitting in the garden looking at a sly dish I had spare,
went to the local diy shop, 6 long bolts and wing nuts, £1.99, 4 flat predrilled brackets, £1.99, pulled the lnb from the sly dish and its got a hole in the part that slips in the dish arm:)
bolted the lnb to the flatbar and used 2 brackets to clamp over the arm on my astra 19 dish, set it up for astra 28, bobs your uncle!!:)
just need a switch now.
