Advice Needed Image for Edison MIO+ MS 4k box

After the factory reset, I did am Auto Disquc setup like you suggested above.

It found 19.2e and 13e, but not 5W or 28.2e.

How can it find 5W before and nothing else. Then I do a factory reset, and now it can only find 19.2 and 13. This is nonsensical.
 
Add manually 28E and 5W to 19E and 13E, maybe the reference frequencies no longer agree with the current ones.
 
I tried this earlier before the reset, and it did not work. Will try again.
 
After automatic detection of 19E and 13E, add the remaining 28E and 5W

Oh fantastic. 28e and 5w coming in. Also the MIS feeds by the looks of it :cool:
 
Next step is to fix the audio.

The Edision is very low even at 100%, which means I have to turn the TV set volume up very high. Because I suffer from severe Tinnitus I end up with a loud volume of background frequencies that really hurts my ear, and makes the tinnitus louder than the audio.

Worryingly, my son who does not have tinnitus, and has perfect hearing, also complains that the volume is too loud and gives him ear ache when watching it.

Watching Channel 4 ( 28.2e ) and the film audio is so low we cannot really hear it at any volume, but the volume during the advertisment break is quite audible. This is really weird. I just plugged the old TV reciver back in and the same channel does not cause tinnues, is at a normal volume, and does not hurt our ears.

Poor sound is the killer.

Hmm, 6.4 . Maybe that's why network search isn't working properly.

Also the box is not getting the 5w multistream any more.

Before the factory reset I had MS for the Italian channels on 5w. Not anymore. Weird. Will try again tomorrow evening.

Also I need to install a new image. This 7.4 is too old.

Do not try to do this, you are too newbie for such a complicated procedure.
The receiver may simply not start anymore, if you do it the wrong way.
Edision should work with OpenATV 6.4 for multistream from 5°W.
I will show you later with a screen shot how to find TF1, France2, M6 etc without blindscan.

Why do you say this?
Because I am crap with GUIs? True, I am. No patience with GUI. I grew up when there was only a CLI. I do appreciate your concern.

Currently I gave a box with:
- Broken wifi.
- Causes severe tinnitus. ( Thus unsable).
If the tinnitus cannot solved, then the box sent back, because I cannot use it. I still have the T this morning: It kept me awake all last night.

If flashing a newer firmware/image/whatever solves the tinnitus cause thn I will the Edision. If not, good by Edision ( and never an enigma2 again).

Does installing an image actually re-install the O/S, or is it just installing an application?

It's written in Python and C++ ( did C++ back in the mid 90s but have forgotten most of it)

Thanks. This will be great. I tried scanningg TPs ( in MS mode) from the details on kingofsat, but I do not know where some settings are entered in. I am sure that there is an easier way.
 
Menu —> Setup —> Reception —> Signal Finder

If the PLS Code is wrong there will be no signal.

We will fix the audio issue (tinnitus) once all French channels are found and working.
Now I want you to show us that TF1 works.

Tried with your settings, but did not find any channels.
