Advice Needed Image for Edison MIO+ MS 4k box

My Satellite Setup
* Currently
1 x 60cm for 28.2e
1 x T55 for 0.4w + 9e + 13e + 19.2e
1 x 120cm for 5w
Quad LNBs on each sent to different receivers in different flats.
My Location

Hi everyone,

I just bought an Edison Mio+ 4k MS from amazon. Will take a week to get here, which is unusual for amazon. I expect to brick it within a week. I am good at breaking everything.

Next step is an image to install. It probably comes with OpenPli pre-installed, but:-

I wish to:

- modify the scan steps in MHz, and the symbol rate interval. By increments of 0.25 Mhz would be excellent. Can I do this in the blindscan plugin?

- see if I can get a Fransat PC7 activated card working. Does oscam do this or is CCcam better? (I am wary of the closed source nature of CCcam)

- I want to plug in my external USB disc into a USB port and watch my mp4 , avi files already on it. I think the disc is formatted as exFat.

OpenVix 6 looks really good. I very much like their gui.

Question:

Can I do multiboot providing one slot with OpenPki and a second slot with OpenVix?

Using the old SDG6 you can get a full 64b image, the others were only 32b.
In addition to enigma, it is also possible to try neutrino in multiboot.

You are all wrong,
my 4 receivers Edision have the latest version of the original OpenATV and they don't need any Fransat. You can even keep the version it comes with.
Multistream is enough for the french TV channels from 5°W.

The good news is that you will finally have the right receiver for your needs = Edison Mio+ 4k.

Thank-you. You are right I got the receiver delivered today.

Came with pre-installed OpenATV 6.4 image.

Got some strange teething problems with this:

1) Wireless: The wireless scan finds approximately 50% of the SSIDs in my area, and it does not find my SSID (AES WPA2 passphrase). I tried to enter it manually but made a mistake, and now have the wrong SSID. Where is the delete button to remove the unwanted charachers?
2) Favourite list: How can I add the current channel we are watching to the Favourites list? I tried lots of buttons.

3. How can I disable the time/date/temperate settings from the OSD?

4. I did a blind scan of 5W and got the RAI multistream channels, but did not get any French TV multistream.

Any ideas?

Pas de soucis. No doubt it will. Just some teething problems :)

Oddly, I cannot find any channels on 28.2e or 19.2e or 13e. I only have got 5w. Even though I have the Disque 1.0 set on these. I took the defauls. DVB-T RTBF came up just fine.

Oh wait. I got my LNBs in the wrong order.

Even so, I still just get 5W. I did a blind scan of what should be 5w 13e 19.2e and 28.2e and just got 188 channels from 19.2e, which look surprisinly like the channels on 5W.
I have each LNB set to the same as this except for the LNB number.

It probably didn't switch DiSEqC

If you use only 4 LNBs on 1.0, set:

PS: you have not defined the diseqc command in the advanced settings
 
I just changed it to simple mode, and still got 5W channels when I blind scanned (FTA only) 19.2e with this configuration:

Port B: 13e

Port D: 28.2e
Set voltage and 22khz: Ja
Send DISEqC only on satellite change: Nein

Next I tried an automatic scan ( for some reason it thinks Amos 4w is also present, and I cannot see how to delete it. It's not configured) and got the channels from 5W from all LNBs.

If I pull out the cable and plug it back into my TV set built in DVB-S2 tuner, then all of the channels are there, but not on the Edision.

It displayed for each search: Tuner status: FAILED.

When it had finished it listed each port as Nichts angescholossen

I plugged the coax back into my TV and can watch all the channels from all of the LNBs as before. It is the Edision and not the cable.
