I am intrigued because I can't imagine TVs changing much, unless someone develops a way to "live" inside the TV and experience programmes within.

And I wouldn't like a TV in the form of a contact lense, but this is the way the world is going, so says David Ike!

Mobile phones, maybe combined into a strap around the wrist, a mobile, TV, and pc all in one.

Your ideas pleae. Ta. :D

All advancements in technology wrt vision have been funded to a varied extent by mature content, so my guess the next big thing would be the ability to *ahem* , experiment with 3D mature content (with sensaround). Remember the films Strange Days, and Brainstorm ?

Trouble is, your account/firewall could be compromised whilst stuck in the the suit, leaving you vulnerable to unauthorised probing by others.Humping

Well I reckon that we'll all be wearing silver metalic jump suits, with robots doing the cooking, just like we were supposed to be by now according to Tomorrow's World in 1965. :-lmao

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

I think we'll be living as we are now, with some enhanced technology used in our daily lives, PDAs would probably become all in one devices (not just like O2's XDA), as in they'd be TV, Mobile phone, music player, and of course a handheld PC (which can do what current computers can't)... :D

Things like cars, they'll probably end up going back to basics, no satnavenginemanagementfuelconsumptionjourneyestimatingselfclimatising rubbish, just an engine (possibly hybrid or bio-fueled), 4 doors, 4 wheels, and a key (yeah, like a 2CV... :p )... :D

Funny thing about IPTV is that DrDish had IPTV in his show today and there was a letter to DrDish what he thought about IPTV and if satellite tv would eventually die with time.

DrDish said that he beleived IPTV will take over from satellite in the future and he was pretty sure about it.

Sat dishes are pretty old technology as i used my first dish back in 1983, that is 25 years!! and there were dishes even back in the late 70's for exotic use.

When i see these large dishes around the teleports and other facilities i think myself it looks pretty old and outdated technology to be honest.

Of course IPTV will be the future for consumers watching TV, problem is that its still pretty new all this and the technology needs to mature but with time it will be great, i am all for IPTV.

France seems to be the in the forefront of IPTV and i bought the latest Tele Satellit French magazine and its incredible what type of IPTV services they deliver today.

You can get all HDTV french channels thru DSL and all great packages like TPS, CSAT and many more are available and they have different boxes to choose from.

They are really taking it seriously, even offering PPV with the latest movies.

Well, I am afraid that we will be back into stone age

The few that still are alive (that is the BOMB theory)

Or we all will be drowned (that is the invirioment theory)

And the best theory is -we will be the same, just some more electronics, battery cars, bigger Tellie and worse program (if U don´t like commercials)

I pity my kids
