TBH, "most" (if not all!) current Indycar cars look almost identical to me, just like the current F2 cars! - and thus just as boring to watch because it's all about slipstreaming ("drafting" in "US parlance" ) and taking the occasional chance to overtake when the guy in front makes a slight mistake &/or is on a different tyres/fuel plan. Also, "Indycar" commentators are (generally) more "verbose" (and LOUDER!) and less informed than those for F1!

The same sorts of issues do, to a lesser extent, exist in F1 - but far less often in reality, partially due to the much wider variety of venues (and no boring "ovals"!).

They look identical because they are, apart from the engines which are split between Chevrolet and Honda. The racing is far superior to F2, and is much more competitive than F1. I quite like the commentators too.

P.S. Today's winner will be getting an F1 test in a McLaren after Zack Brown offered it as an incentive to Pato O'Ward if he won a race this season... he's now won two and is leading the championship.

OK, maybe "it's me" but I can't be bothered to "wait around" for the "action", especially for races at oval crcuits - between all the "other attractions". :rolleyes:

Maybe we've been spoiled by F1 this year but in recent years it's been less than thrilling.

P.S. you missed Grosjean spinning and subsequently his brakes setting on fire. He got out, ran to the marshal's post and grabbed an extinguisher to put the fire out himself :Y
 
Anyone remember former F1 driver Marcus Ericsson? Just managed to win an Indycar race despite this incident early on in the race :-ohmy
