Inmarsat .. something different

Scopus - is that a photograph of your monitor screen? It looks like you have windows 7 or higher on that computer - if so have a play with the snipping tool - you can get screen grabs quickly & easily with it.
Will do...

The latest version of JAERO allows the use of two VFOs so that two Inmarsat T channels can be monitored and forwarded to Planeplotter.

We also have confirmation that a 1.2 m dish is fine for reception at C band using the Titanium PLL lnb and appropriate
feed...offset or prime focus.

Hi All, Great thread. Lots of usefull info. I'm in the process of gathering the kit together to have a go at this so standby for some stupid questions ! lol

Dish ready, Lnb arriving in the morning but I have failed at the first hurdle.
Why does it seem its only me that cant get a RTL-SDR dongle to work on windows ?
Re formatted and re loaded Windows 7
Downloaded latest Zadig (2.2)
Instructions followed to the letter but it wont have it.
Get 3 items when I plug in Dongle (actually 2 dongles, 1 new TCXO one and both work on Raspberry Pi)
1/ RTL2832UHDIR(Composite Parent)
2/ Bulk-in, Interface (Interface 0)
3/ Bulk-in, Interface (Interface 1)
Run Zadig as Admin
Get "Driver Instalation Failed" for all 3
Installed PCI USB 2 Hub but get the same Result. !
Has anybody got any Idea what I'm doing wrong ?

Are you logged in with an admin level account - sometimes that makes all the difference.

When I installed mine I forgot to remove the dongle first, then run zdiag, reboot, and plug in again.

Hope this helps.

A little help here guys ...
Could one of you -experts- take a look at my post in the Aero thread ..
I'm struggling ..

Has anyone in the UK/Ireland had any joy on 25W ? I get plenty of signals higher up the band but zilch where the Aero Signals are supposed to be. :-(

There is no Inmarsat at 25°W, or do you mean another satellite?

Sorry yes Inmarsat at 25°W

lol thats why I'm not having any Luck then. Sorry East !

You should find signals on 25East at around 1527Mhz switch between polarity to get the best signal strength
I am looking for someone who is prepared to monitor this sat for PP an a permanent basis

For anyone prepared to do this I have a free licence available for the PP software [usually 25Euro plus tax]

Initially , so that you can test your results you can use PP during the free trial period

I think the SDR# LO frequencies, for the T channels, are 1526.078 and 1526.108MHz which peak LHCP for me. (from Aero thread)
