Welcome

I have deactivated the live link in your post.

Ok well firstly we are talking C band reception here, which is not common in the UK and secondly is is debateable if you could actually receive reception from this satellite firstly because you require a direct line of sight to the horizon, secondly a big C band dish which would require planning permission in the UK and thirdly it is right on the limit of possible reception so low down as to be possibly below your horizon. Not really worth throwing money at for one channel, lastly flysat does not think that the channel your require is on that frequency.

To receive this sat you're going to need a 2.4m diameter dish, if not larger.
That's providing you've got nothing obstructing the signal as the sat is very low down on the horizon.

Forget it - Intelsat 10 is almost on the horizon here in Scotland. A hill out to your southeast, or even a neighbours house will be enough to obstruct the signal.

Try a web stream instead - I found several sites carrying Hum with no problem at all. (Google "hum tv webstream"

68.5e is at a 0.9 degree elevation from Glasgow, so it's very unlikely you can recieve it, and according to KingOfSat Hum TV is not broadcast on ANY satellite recievable from europe inc 68.5e so it's a definate no go.

Unless he lives on the cliffs along the east coast of Scotland there is no chance whatsoever of getting a bird that low! There are far too many hills in Scotland that will get in the way!

He lives in Glasgow, I say very unlikely because he might live in one of the 30 story apartment blocks, and might be able to fit his dish on the roof, which might give him half a chance as far as line of sight goes. (oh so many mights lol) But still you cant recieve what isn't broadcast.

In the words of the great Scotty - ye canna change the laws of physics

:D

Unfortunately if ye canna be bothered with streaming then the only other option is to move to India (or thereabouts) where it can be received!

The signal reception is possible. Provided you can see the eastern sat.
You need a big dish and a clear line of sight to the east.

Most decent sat receivers with a good tuner will pick the signals up with no problem.

Get a good lnc thingy from some of the experts reports on this site and you can't go wrong.

Have you read the c-band dx section on this forum?
There's some brainy people about.

Line of sight being key. With a 0.9 degree elevation, an average bungalow 300 meters away would block the signal, and thats assuming the ground is totally flat. Without an exceptionally lucky location reception is going to be impossible and no amount of "brainy people" can, as AS puts it so well "change the laws of physics"

There are enough hills south east of Glasgow that the OP has no chance at all unless hes living in a tower block & has access to the roof.

Although some sites including Hum TV itself say it's on Intelsat 10, I rather more trust both Lyngsat and Flysat listing it on Asiasat 3S at 105.5 East!
But at least the live stream is working: _http://www.hum.tv/live.php
