Intelsat 17 - 66E

[Analoguesat]

Intelsat 17 is expected to be launched in late 2010 and will go into service in early 2011. She will operate at 66E and has multiple Ku band payloads covering a huge area from western Europe right the way round to Japan. She will also cover Africa!!

There is also a C-band payload.

Intelsat 17 could be a very interesting satellite indeed - so its rather a shame theres a hill in the way here!

 

[Analoguesat]

Intelsat 17 was launched on an Ariane 5 from Kourou on 26/11/2010.

She will replace Intelsat 702.
