The international satellite operator, Intelsat, is at another key moment in its objectives of offering increasingly sophisticated services to the entire market.

The Intelsat 37e satellite, the fifth of its next generation high performance satellites, will be launched on 5 September next at 5:51 pm EDT from the Arianespace space center in Kourou, French Guiana, aboard a rocket Ariane 5.

Manufactured by Boeing, the fully digital payload of the Intelsat 37e represents a significant evolution of the award-winning Intelsat EpicNG platform, according to the operator in an official statement.

The satellite offers full beam interconnectivity in the C, Ku and Ka bands; and also includes improved feed sharing technology and Ku and Ka band orientable beams. These features combine to provide additional flexibility to meet the application and regional requirements for broadband, mobility and government customers in the Americas, Africa and Europe.

Intelsat 37e will be put into service at 342 ° East / 18° West where it will replace Intelsat 901, which will be relocated to another location on the globalized Intelsat network.
