Two frequencies are reported to have moved off Intelsat 12 onto 904. Massive signals here on both

11635V 30000 3/4 DVB-S2 8PSK 16.3dB
11675V 30000 3/4 DVB-S2 8PSK 15.5dB

Massive signals here as well (as expected). The signal is virtually the same as Intelsat 12's.

Dish size?

Last night all remaining transponders in the range 11450V-11700V were switched to Intelsat-904
All signals are weak for me now, below the lock treshold :(

Also seems 11595V has changed SR for full TP bandwidth usage

This is the situation here.

I think the hump at 12650 V appeared recently.
Intelsat 12 transponder 12650 V has uplink at 14391 V.
And that is very close to the Intelsat 904 uplink 14395 H for the 11595 V downlink.

Prima TV and Kiss still to move I guess Ex Intel 12 from 12559V 5787 ?

+ Dialog TV has 6 transponders for India on Intelsat-12 yet to move to Intelsat 904,

I do not see a spot beam for South Africa on Intelsat 904 so Telly Track so may leave this satellite,

Telly Track South Africa on is available from these satellites:-
54.9°E Yamal 402
4.8°E Astra 4A

Galaxy-11 however, also at 45.0°E, does have a beam for South Africa!

Conversely Intelsat-904 can replace the 4 AOL transmissions on Galaxy-11 as it is reaching the end of use in geostationary orbit.

Galaxy 11 was the first BSS-702 satellite. It was ordered in May 1997 and was successfully launched in December 1999 on an Ariane 4 rocket from Kourou, French Guiana. Galaxy XI has a payload of 64 active transponders; 24 operate in C-band and 40 operate in Ku-band. The spacecraft was designed for an end-of-life power of more than 10 kW for 15 years.
The satellite used to provide service to North America and Brazil.

Galaxy 11 suffers from a generic failure of the early BSS-702 model: the fogging of the concentric mirrors on the solar arrays leads to reduced available power.

All three satellites at 45°E are rather old!
Launch date & estimated end of service life, as of Dec 31 2016:
Intelsat 12 (Oct-00): Q4 2017
Galaxy 11 (Dec-99): Q4 2018
Intelsat 904 (Feb-02): Q2 2019
See Form 20-F (Annual filing), pdf page 42: SEC Filings | Intelsat

@tempo you have PM.

I wonder if AzerSpace 2/Intelsat 38 45° East launch sometime in 2017 will be able to replace all current satellite transponder leases here ?

Arianespace Selected to Launch Azerspace-2/Intelsat 38 Satellite at 45 Degrees East -Arianespace

Expected to launch in 2017, Azerspace-2 will be Azercosmos’ second telecommunications
satellite, and will expand on the current capacity of Azerspace-1. It will support growing demand
for Direct-to-Home (DTH), government, and network services in Europe, Central and South
Asia, the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Massive signals on the newly passed frequencies again, up to 19.7db!!!

On 11488 V 10500 is the BNT package of NURTS (with PLS).
Parameters have changed: 11470 V 18333 DVB-S2 QPSK 3/5.

What is the situation now - is it available this new transponder now? Can You scan again? Not fixed here in Bulgaria.

Sorry I'm not home this weekend, but elsewhere 11475 V 26660 is reported (tnx milan58). Note that PLS is used that most receiver can't handle (but probably you know)!

Yes, I know. Somе friends will test with appropriate equipment.

P.S. They have tested and it's O.K. with SR 26660.
