A while back, someone pointed me to a fleaBay auction, which was advertising a "selection of satellite actuators". No real descriptions were given but the photo suggested some genuine SuperJack ones and some no-name ones. I bid on it and won it for £15.

Because of the house flood priorities, it wasn't until today that I opened up the package. Inside was a surprising selection of jacks.

1x brand new Venture Skyligher 12" jack
1x near new Venture Skylighter 12" heavy duty(?) jack
1x used but in very good condition SuperJack QARL 3424 heavy duty jack (I already have a new one of those lying around from HM-Sat)
1x used but again in good condition black coloured SuperJack QARL 3024. Searching on the t-interweb, this *seems* to be a ball-screw type but this is complete speculation. What's also odd about this is that it seems to be a 30 volt version, instead of 36v. Has anyone come across one of those? Would a 36v supply be OK with it or would it overshoot stuff?

I am not quite sure what I'll be doing with them, since I am/was planning on using the Jumbo 1224 for a 1.8m dish but certainly I'll use the smaller Venture for declination adjustments.

Anyway, carry on...

Here am I trying to get rid of the clutter from irresponsible impulse buying and there you are making me want to buy more clutter simply out of curiosity.

I will take a heavy Duty one off you Alex

The other heavy duty one could be of use to me Alex as spare declination jacks, the voltage and stroke lengths are fine with me.

Blimey, I wasn't thinking of offering them for sale yet! I would like to keep the SuperJack XL one but I'll have a think about the others. I am still unsure as to what my plan is!
