Just done the mod. Glued the scalar ring with EPOXY on a new inverto black ultra. I'm going to test it against Invacom c120 flange.

looking forward to hear your results
what material did you use for scalar ring
can you move scalar ring in and out to tune f/d

Hi washoris,

If the results are better then any solution is good, even the chosen by you.But the one chosen by me I find easier and gives you the freedom to mount and dismount scalar rings whenever you want, and use them on another LNB.The same scalar rings I've replaced on a lnb Octagon using screws,as you see in the pictures, with good results.
Of course I'm curious to see your results with these scalar rings!

Results with Invacom single and ADF-120 feedhorn:

Results with invacom black ultra converted with scalar ring feedhorn.

The improvement was notable. I can now get ZDF HD all day long even at night where I was losing it.

Hi alaa2003,
My 150 cm dish deep size is 24.50 cm and the distance to antenna (F) is 57.4 cm.Another advantage of these scalar rings is that protect against interference from all kinds of transmissions. It's like a kind of filter of protection against them.In my area I have massive interference and, besides the fact that enhances the signal,if I wouldn't have these rings I have reception problems on some frequencies.I haven't thought of this when i mounted on lnb.
I do not know what experiences have other users, but the combination between Inverto Black Ultra and these scalar rings is the best solution for us,which we cannot afford expensive lnbs.I hope I'm not exaggerating if I say that act like a professional lnb.In a word,I have great luck with them.I hope others users to have at least the same good results like I had.I am pleased with them.

welcome back my friend , i am happy of your great signals its really amazing
1- are your dish made from aluminum ?
2- if material not aluminum , does this affect on signal strength ? how much ?
3-C.Rings made from (plastic + foam + copper), does this affect on signal or it should 100% copper or may 100% aluminum better ?
4- I'd like to show you another MOD on same BU using Feed of old Fuji LNB ( i did not make it yet), and people says to get high signals too

total tall from inside to out (Feed tall) = 10.5 cm
and here is sceen after stick

and you should rise LNB up as soon as possible to get reverted signals to center of feed, here is he shows that he added it in the flansh

1.Yes.it's aluminium. My antenna is that of avatar.
2.The quality of the signal does not depend on that dish is made of aluminum, iron or something else, but only if has deformations due to various reasons(transport, strike, etc.) or imperfections in manufacturing it.The antenna efficiency depends on the gain. The higher, the better.
3.It is true that the rings made of copper, aluminum are better conductors than other materials, but more important is the shape, size and depth of these rings.Mine is plastic passed through a bath of copper.
4.The Feed of the old Fuji LNB looks alike with a lnb that I bought from Ali .But all of these scalar rings are variants of Invacom feedhorn. As they say, best lnb is a great dish :)
Thanks for the pictures, but it's more convincing for those who read us to post the comparative results between the values obtained with and without these scalar rings.
regards
