Hi,

Would anyone know if there is any difference in performance between the following 3 Inverto C120 Quad LNB's ?

1. Black Pro
2. White Tech
3. Red Classic

They are all rated as 0.3db as far as I am aware with the Black Pro being the only one currently listed on the Inverto web site. Am I correct in assuming that in reality they are all technically identical apart from the change of name and change of colour of the casing and it is just marketing? Or, is the most recent model, the Black Pro an improvement over the other versions?

Theres one more choise to look at , Invacom QDF-031, a well known LNB.
Compared to the WhiteTech Single it has better performance,i have them both.
The picture shows the Invacom with Laminas feedhorn (for a offset dish)

Yes, the Invacom QDF-031 is a good LNB for larger dishes. I've got one on a 1.8m dish which works very well and am just about to install another one on a 1.8m dish in a few weeks time.

I am aware of the Invacom C120 LNB, however, that is not relevant, my question was about the 3 Inverto C120 LNB's. Those Invacom C120's are unreliable.

Really? Mine is still going strong after 6 years of constant use in Finland.

It's cold in Finland, them Invacom Quad C120's have a high failure rate in warmer climates.

Anyway, this topic is about the 3 different Inverto Quad C120 LNB's, them Invacoms have no place here.

Nor would wish to visit Finland in the summer or any other time for that matter.

This thread is about the original question of the 3 types of Inverto C120 Quad LNB, nothing else is relevant.

Hi moonbase, did you test these, what performed best if so ?

Has this issue been resolved ? I see your using one at the moment, thanks.

blademedia,

I tested the Inverto White and Inverto Black Pro and found that the White was giving a slightly better signal, it was not much, approx 0.3db. I used the Inverto White after I had an Invacom Quad fail on me. I am about to replace the Invacom twin output that is on the ADF with the Inverto White quad output, just waiting for a reel of cable to arrive for an extra cable run.

Yes, I had the Inverto White LNB on a Precision dish with Precision feed and waveguide for quite a long time and got good results. I have attached a picture of it on the dish, please excuse the untidy cabling, I was in the process of taking the dish down before scaffolding was erected.
