I recently changed my existing LNB pointing at 1W for an Inverto MultiConnect LNB system I had lying around to get 1W and 5E on my 90cm dish in South Bucks. Everything was fine until it started to rain. As soon as the LNB got wet I'd loose pretty much all but the very strongest transponders on both satellites (and since we haven't had much rain in the south I only just recently noticed this issue). It would then take hours to dry after the rain was over or a trip down the bottom of the garden to wipe the LNBs dry before the signals returned back to normal. It seems these LNBs are very sensitive to rain drops on the cover. It may not be so noticeable on stronger satellite signals but when you need every last drop of signal the rain drops make a big difference.
Anyway, I'm going to swap the thing for another type of multi LNB setup but in the mean time I taped a plastic cup over the LNB and even though it's poring with rain outside I can still get all the channels. Something that others might want to consider if they have similar problems.
I have another Inverto MultiConnect setup in Helsinki and although the LNBs aren't quite as sensitive as others, as the dish is on a covered balcony I don't really notice the rain fade problem so it doesn't bother me quite so much.
