IRDETO 2 Card Not working with myDM500 dreambox - Request for Solution-

Hi All,

1) I have subscribed to Pehla Silver.
2) When I Insert Irdeto Card in the DreamBox Smart Card the channels donot decrypt, but when I insert the same card in Humax Receiver every Paid Channels work.
3) I have heard from a friend that I need to install or update image or some files in dreambox to read the new Card.

4) Finally also advise the best DreamBox Image out there.

Although I am newbie in Dreambox field but have good knowledge in networking, flashing boxes and Administration on Linux/Unix boxes.
 
What image are you using? Have you installed CCcam and set it as the default cam (emu)?

Even with the correct image and CCcam, card will not work just by inserting it in the reader slot.
You have to shutdown the receiver, pull the power cord off, wait few minutes and then switch on with card inside the slot and with chip down.
As mhku mentioned, select CCcam as the emu.
Check entitlements _http://DreamboxIP:16001

1) Pulled powercord
2) INserted SmartCard
3) Powered back on (5 to 10 mins after power off)
4) Still the channels are not showing...seems still encrypted.

How do I check if I already have CCCAM and where can I download it to install it on my Dreambox if I Cccam not installed.

You can install it from the blue button on your Dreambox.

Blue Panel > Addons > download (Gemini-Server) > cam > CCcam 2.1.1

To check if installled:

Blue Panel > Auto-Camd Setup >

The default camd will be shown. If CCcam isn't installed this is where you set it as the default cam for all channels.

Hi All,

I just bought a dm500S and follow the instruction above, I have installed Gemini 4.4 for the image, installed CCcam 2.1.2 and CCcam Info 1.1 and Scam 3.52 through net. My smartcard is Irdeto2 original card which is worked for the normal Irdeto embedded receiver. When I insert this valide card into CI slot, I can not decript any channels I subcript for it. FTA channels received OK. Check CCcam info entertainment field show "no card or unknown card put in". Does anyone can help me to make it work. Thanks very much.
