Ok, newbie here ( newbie to multi-lnbs on the same fixed dish brakcet).... SOrry for being the dunce of the class -
Have had Astra_2 @ 28.2 E for years at 50.85 lat; 4.38 long. No problems.
Now I want to get Atlantic Bird 3 (5 W) using the same fixed dish but adding a multi-lnb bracket.
1) Am I crazy trying to get two satellites 33+ degrees apart on an 80 cm dish ..?
2) If not too crazy, then which of the two satellites is the weaker (if I should aim the focal point of the dish at the weaker one) and then scratch around to get a ssignal from the stronger one..?
3) Using the dishpointer.com/ Satellite Finder / Dish Pointing Calculator with Google Maps | DishPointer.com[/url] site, I find that:
o Astra_2 is: azimuth=150.45; elevation=27.6
o Atlantic_Bird_3 is: azimuth=1592.1; elevation=31.1
Eh... So again , is this too far apart to get both on a fixed dish ..?
How do I solve the problem of two different elevations...? Is that what this "skew" stuff is all about ..?
