Hi,
I've come a bit late to this discussion, but can confirm that a Smart Titanium 0.1dB LNBF gives about 3dBs stronger signal at the Rx than an official CM feedhorn and a 0.3dB Inverto at 12.643V.
This seems completely bonkers. How can the tiny integral feedhorn on the Smart do a better job of matching to the dish than the manufacturer's own specially made feedhorn ? I would love to hear a technical explanation of this. Surely the official feedhorn isn't underilluminating the dish ??
I also wonder if somehow combining the sensitivity of the Smart and the matching of the CM feedhorn would make the dream combination
I have a CM 1.2 offset dish by the way.
Cheers,
Geoff.
