Is a subscription needed

hello everyone its my first post so lets hope i get this correct.
you need a sky subscription for the +part to work.

You have not given any information as to what stb you are using. To operate the recording functions in a Sky+ box it must have a Sky card that has been activated for Sky+ recordings inserted.
And to record "pay / encrypted" you need a card with subscription and paired to that box.
Also You cannot record unless you pay a tax of £10 per month.

Pairing is a pointless exercise for an active FSFS Card as it can be used in any Sky Box.

Pairing a Sub Card is, however, necessary to enable Sports, Films, Recording.


I think I have that correct, do you just have a FSFS card?
