I'm just about to install HTPC MKIV (MCE, and a quad tuner TV card from Renura: 2 x DVB-T and 2 x DVB-S, USALS). It has no CI capability because the case is too small.
Prior to this I used to be a Dreamer, sold it a year ago to make way for the new DM8000 (more fool me). Now, I wasn't a very good Dreamer, though I got the gist (and the easier to open stuff).
I have read all I can find on using DVB-S cards with softcams and various viewers, battles with driver compatibilities and MCE, etc.
I'm just wondering whether I can be bothered with it and whether I should just go out and get another Dreambox?
Any advice and words of encouragement appreciated.
