My Satellite Setup
2x Pace 2600 C1 (in a box just in case) , 3 x Humax HD Foxstat (2 of which in store as spares) . 3x Manhatten Plaza - Pasat 2.4 PF dish mounted on flat roof with Invacom C120 quad LNB .

Here in Valencia I get almost every Freesat channel with very high readings (near 100%) on SS and SQ on my Humax Freesat HD boxes. However there are always problems when trying to view anything on 12207v - occasionally it gets very severe breakup and but with a high SS but very low SQ reading - but more normally nothing at all and just the prompt saying no or poor signal and nothing on either the SS or SQ bars. My aged Pace 2600c boxes seem not to suffer at all and pull in the channels normally. Is there a simple explanation for this?

Missing frequencies are a common symptom of a failing psu.

I had thought that but one of my Foxsats has a brand new PSU and behaves is exactly the same as the others. I had though that it could be too much signal swamping it so will try an attenuator in line to see if that makes any difference - but will have to wait a while to get one! My old one went short circuit - possibly due to water ingress contamination.

Now back from the UK with some attenuators and tried a 10db in line for the Humax - Like magic the missing channels are now all good with a slightly lower SS but SQ now at 100% - I also brought back 2 cheap second hand Manhatten HD boxes and they both operate perfectly with slightly lower SS and SQ readings but are able to pick up everything without the need for an attenuator.

So it looks like the issue is my large dish is overpowering the more sensitive receiver in the Humax boxes - I also have an identical Humax box operating in Javea from a 1.2M dish and that has no issues at all and received all channels fine. However I'm not about to junk the 2.4 - it took too much effort putting it up all those years ago:)
