Hi guys,

I have a sat dish on the outside of my house....cable running running from dish to receiver - everything works ok

I need to add a freeview box to my setup - using the cable from the Technomate sat receiver to the outside dish...

Here's my question...can use the existing sat cable and 2 splitters/combiners at either end of the cable to add a freeview box and a freeview aerial? Is that possible?

Or is there an easier way? I cannot use another cable on the outside of the house and an indoor aerial is no option either

any help would be appreciated

cheers

No mate, seperate feed needed, the stb omits a 13/18 volt charge to the lnb on the dish this would not work with an ariel splitter

thanks Dave,

looks like I'm a wee bit snookered here....

Thanks Acezon...
so..I need the diplexer at the indoor side of the cable...and hook up my Technomate box and the freeview box at the end of the diplexer...

what about the outdoor side of the cable...do I need another diplexer there as well to connect the dish and the freeview aerial...or will the dish function as an aerial?

sorry, but I'm quite ignorant about the whole matter

cheers

Yes, two diplexers, though you can get indoor ones in the shape of a wall socket plate.

Thanks Channel Hopper....

great news....your help is very much appreciated

cheers
