hi guys im new to this satellite malarky but have aquired an old second hand dish and motor and am having problems figuring it out.
i have mounted the satellite to the side of my building and it is mounted straight and level, i have pointed the satellite in the magnetic south direction and connected the lnb to the motor and the motor to my skystar 2 pci card however when trying to operate the software either skystar2 or progdvb the dish is skewing left and right constantly i cant seem to controll the dish at all when its like that if i close the programs down it still constantly skews left and right and will not stop until i turn off my pc when i restart the machine the sattelite does not move but as soon as i start any of the software it starts skewing randomly again.
is this normal,
am i doing something wrong?
is there a fault with the motor
or is it software related
any help would be greatly appreciated
