Is there a bird testing in C band approx 15W ?

Just by accident whilst playing around with Aero ...I spotted a huge peak ..
unmodulated carrier approx 54W 3881R roughly ..
It certainly is huge cos this was spotted with a C1PLL on a 1.1m dish ..
Unless it is something local at my qth ?

I can't check it right now by myself, but there is 14°W with 3 strong spikes since a couple of months.maybe this satellite.

Oops wrong dish selected ...
same spec ...but not at 15W ....in actual fact is the TD110 ...looking at 54W
...so still a 1.1m dish in the rain ..

Still curious tho ..
this signal looks like a test at 54W ish ...so could be from 55W I guess ...but such a large unmodulated signal ...and received in the rain on such a small dish ..
???

Cant argue with the possibility William ...
but I have never seen such a large signal from Intelsat 23 ...not even on my 2 mtr PF ...and to have such a large unmodulated signal on a 1.1 is a surprise indeed ..
which is why it caught my attention.

Checked this morning and nothing found from my QTH, maybe off air .

.... also checked around that frequency VS but couldn't find anything that had that much amplitude.

Thanks for checking guys ...
It may well be that this spike is being internally generated in the system ..
But to do this Id have to assume ..the C1PLL is at fault since it can be switched 13/18v ..
Some investigation required I guess ...but because the lnb/dish is at height ...not very practical.

...Looks like whatever it was ...was genuine ..
Just turned on crazyscan ...having not altered anything from last night ...and the spike has indeed gone..
whatever it was there is no longer any trace..
