is there a difference between a pub viasat system and one for a private residence

hi i have a mate who owns a pub and hee has asked me if i would install a viasat dish for 3pm kick offs. hell tells me that its all above board these days due to a test case being won. so i seached a few online suppliers and some seem to offer pub installs. is there a difference. as with shy sub. thanks in advance

Yes of course there is. All foreign subs are domestic subs - commercial subs will be far far more expensive, and probably only available in the relevant countries.

At least one of the forum sponsors has warnings on some of the subs saying they are domestic only.

The case has not been won yet, it is still with the European Court. I would also say that without exception, pubs and clubs are using residential subscriptions, not commercial subscriptions, as none of the companies sell directly outside of their copyright regions.

If the case rules in favour of using cards outside of original areas, then the pubs and clubs will undoubtedly be required to pay the relevant commercial prices if they wish to be legit.
