Is this a good dish?

My goal is to be able to get Astra 2D in the southeast part of Sweden (in K almar by the iland Öland). I know people in this are has done that with differnent dishes, and only about 100 km from me another persons can get Astra 2D 24/7 on a 110cm dish..

Is that a good dish? Do you think I'll be able to get Astra 2D in my area with it?

By the way, I found this on astra2d.com:

Sidelobe in Sweden
There is a 3dB difference in strength between Horizontal and Vertical (Vertical weaker). There seems to be a sidelobe in Sweden. In Stockholm Astra 2D can be picked up on 85cm-1m dishes. In the south of the country you will need a bigger dish probably 1.5m or 1.8m.

Unfortunately I'm about 400 km south of Stockholm... :mad: But, about what does the part about the strength difference mean?

I'm in the opposite position as you, I want the sirius 5e nordic beam in Liverpool.

That dish does seem ok though, But like I am doing, You just have to expirement and see what dish is better for what :(
 
think you might be best going for a larger 1.8m dish to guarantee that you will get the channels
