My Location

This warplane circled over the area this evening, is it a Harrier?
 
You're lucky they didn't attack you with "Friendly fire"!!!! :-rofl2

And I have not got a clue what that is, other than a fighter jet... :D
 
Been searching and it looks like it may be a Tornado, anyone confirm this?

Yes, that was my judgement, very unusual to see them at low level over Berkshire. :)
 
It is a Tornado GR1, with xtra fuel tanks by the looks of it.
Could be Isreali a bit lost or more probably based in Wiltshire.

definitely a tornado with fuel tanks attached.
 
Very strange to see one in the sky over our way, particularly as it made 3 passes, we do have the AWE Aldermaston and Royal Ordnance Factory nearby (no fly zones I believe), so perhaps one was scrambled due to someone flying too close.
 
Or its tracking guidance device became unable to connect to its base so they hooked onto the nearest thing.. Your dishes and found themselves chasing your dish motor over the arc :|
 
No Rolf this is a real Harrier. Had one back in the early 80s.
 
Loved the Mk 2 Escorts, they were a great little car, remember having a banana coloured one with a vinyl roof, thought it was the dog's. :)
 
First car was a MkI Escort 1600E the old twin Webber carb - fantastic memories. With the wind behind i could get 95mph and you knew it!

No, the motor intakes are much further forward on the Harrier. :)
