If it helps here's a list of 31.5E transponders I can get on a narrow LNB strapped to the side of the 28.2E LNB on an 80cm dish in Helsinki...

11.758H 8.3dB
11.914H 7.5dB no lock
11.934V 10.6dB
12.012V 10.4dB
12.090V 9.8dB
12.148H 7.0dB no lock
12.168V 9.9dB
12.246V 10.0dB
12.324V 9.9dB
12.402V 9.7dB
12.480V 9.2dB

It's by no means aligned accurately but was enough to be able to monitor the position when Astra 5B finally launches. It's also the most easterly satellite I can see from my balcony so potentially some of the signal might be hidden by the wall.

Thanks Timo, I see 11758H is rather weak for you, while here is by far the strongest.
The trouble with the LNB strapped to the side, you don't know where you're pointing to.
If you point for example to 32 East, Astra 2B at 31.35 East will decrease more than 1G at 31.5 East.

Not sure if 11758H is just weaker because of it being horizontal. All the LNBs on my dish seem to have a lot of weaker horizontal transponders, even with different types of LNBs, it's odd. Also being cabled tied to another LNB the skew is set with the 28.2E LNB, which is optimised for 2A South beam but I assume they would be similar anyway.

The 11759H being the only H in my list, made me suspicious different polarisation might be pointing differently.
So now also did check 11914H, 11992H and 12148H via the TBS 6925.
Turning from 31,5 to 31,2 East, still only 11759H increases while the other three decrease.

@hvdh, can you get the M2-TI channels on 11992H (MIS 20) with your TBS6925 and the 4T2ContentAnalyser? Every time I try to open the PLP, the analyzer crashes.

Initially hanging here as well.
After trying again, clicked the dot next to PLP 0 as soon as possible, wait for the program listing, then went to Video Analysis, programme ZOOM.
I can watch it, although there are small disturbances in video and audio all the time.
If I go to another window then choose 4T2 again, the video is frozen, although the sound continues.
Maybe video decoder is to blame?

Dunno, but I don't get that far. 4T2 freezes before I can open video analysis. At that time the tool has already claimed nearly 500MB according to the task manager.

I am also picking up 11758H on Astra 1G in Scotland on 1.2m dish. I also picked up 11934V Pro TV international a couple of nights ago. Incedently, at almost the same position I am picking up 12526V 2500 Al Iraqiya TV off Arabsat 5A 30.5E just a degree to the west.

11758 is 8.3 dB now and so is 11934 with me. Stable reception and as you say one FTA channel ProTV Int on 11934. They just showed a promo for what looks very like a Romanian version of Mrs Browns Boys. I got up to 3 dB on that Arabsat tp but no lock.

In July 2014, Astra 1G was moved from 31.36°E to 59.84°E, and in February 2016 to 62.8°E.
According CoB, Astra 1G is now on the move and will arrive at 51.1°E on 16 February.
Inclination is 2.0°. Maybe the NSS-5 at 50.5°E needs to be moved to graveyard orbit, and Astra 1G will continue slot reservation for Thaicom?

Astra 1G (incl. 3.1°) left 51.1°E, and will arrive at 56.8°E on August 1.

Astra 1G didn't stay long at 56.8°E (because it is the slot of WGS-8), and was moved to 57.2°E in September 2018.

Started moving East again 2 weeks ago, and has now arrived at 63.25°E. Inclination 4.0°.

It´s dead..

Well nominally 1G is still operational but at 4 degrees inclined shes not going to be used for much these days - but these old birds can eke out a few more months service eg reserving orbital slots.
