The closeness to the ground is exactly the same as an offset dish, but the top of the dish will be lower, as its leaning backwards of course, so less visible from outside the garden.

The effective height of a 2.4m dish when aligned to 26E will be approx 2.2m. Wheras a 2.4m offset will be approx 2.6m high.

Only if the offset dish is installed in the upright position, if installed upside down, they are much lower.

No, but it will be close if there is no warpage/damage, you align the panels absolutely correctly and get a really nice quality matching feed.

Aslong as it performs as good as a CM 2.4M i am happy as in london that gets 60% on admc in the bad times of day

Yes, don't tighten enything up until it's all assembled on the ground.

Warpage of fibreglass is almost impossible to correct, so check carefully before paying any money.

One way would be with some fishing line. With the dish all bolted together string a bit on line rim to rim from 12ºclock to 6ºclock across the dish face and make sure it is pulled taught. Do the same with another from 9ºclock to 3ºclock. Then do the same with another two at 45º to the first two. Now you have four pieces of line stretched rim to rim across the dish. If the dish is in good shape the lines touch in the middle of the dish, but if the dish is distorted the lines will be at different heights where they cross one another in the centre.

For now mate fixed at badr6 26E for Ad sports.

It does have the actuator, so maybe in the futur I will get that done, but I dont really have a need for it at the moment

Another question, must i mount the actuator?

Will the dish be stable without it?

The thing that worrys me is I want to mount it as close to the fence as possible, but the actuator is SO long it will hit the fence! I dont need the actuator as I want it as a fixed dish... but not sure if it will just flop side to side without it?

You'll have to bolt a length of metal in place of the actuator, to hold the dish in place, or get a much shorter actuator.(you could then get 25.5e on it, or 28e LOL)
