Hi Guys,
Have had a GBSAT 2CI0 since August 2005.
Up until last week, worked fine.
It now has a nasty habit of 'locking up' and will not respond to remote or front manual controls.
If turned on and off at the back, back to square 1 i.e all info lost so need to input all satellites and chanels.
Hve re-done this on several occasions, it seems to happen more after scanning in channels when save settings comes up, it thinks about it, and then locks.
It has also locked on turning on, and can happen when scanning in 1 or any number of satellites.
On the advice of where i bought it, i use a surge protected socket, but it still happens.
They say that they do not believe it is a fault with the reciever box, but something in house.
I am due to send back to them to send on to manufacturer.
Any ideas?
As i have said no pattern ie time of day etc. when fault happens.
Also box doesn;t feel hot to touch.
Any ideas Appreciated.
