Is this really a clone?

Just stumbled across this video, the guy claims that the box on the left (with the Openbox logo) is a clone. I have the same receiver with the same printed box, bought through a reputable seller that was recommended on here.

I was under the impression that Openbox was simply a change of name from Skybox, not two seperate companies as the guy is implying.

I bought one of them, for my parents, and it works perfectly.
The seller claimed it was 100% genuine, and it works, so personally I don't care, what can you expect for the money.
You could buy 13-14, of the Openbox v8s receivers, for what I paid for my VU+ Duo 2, even though the VU+ Duo 2 is capable of a lot more.
It does the job, and considering the price, they must be very cheap to manufacture, although the menu system feels a bit awkward.

I wouldn't take one persons opinion, regarding the clone issue, I'd search the internet, and check who manufactures these extremely small receivers.

I don't know which is the original and which is the clone of these boxes. However Openbox have been trading for many years ( I have an Openbox that is over 12 years old) and Skybox is a newcomer in the last 4 or 5 years. Skybox originally imported direct into the UK but legal acction from Sky UK (or the threat of it) forced them to change their name to Libertview - I believe they changed the name back as they no longer import direct into the UK but boxes are "grey imports" from the EU. I am not even sure that either company actually manufactures their own boxes or as with most Chinese products they contract their build out to other factories.
