I know lads now this topic is dragging on but I wonder if the reason along with not havin a proper sat meter does signal on nordic beam drop after a certain time in the evening, thought I read it before about signals dropping after 5pm

Hopefully it'll be sorted Saturday so, Belfast Chris is sorting me out but would of love to have of done it
Myself

If it is Chris76 coming from Belfast, then if he can't get Viasat in your location, with that dish, then it probably just can't be got.
Pardon my grammar!

The signal does drop slightly in the evenings but nowhere near as bad as used to happen with Sirius 2/3.

Folks I ordered a invacom c120 lnb today, do you know of these perform better than the inverto c120 on the channel master, if so it might help pull the Nordic beam

They dont perform well under long cable runs, The invacom c120 are low output lnbs and would not perform great if it was used on a cble run of 20m or more, but the inverto c120 are high output and even work great up to 75m.

I think your run is more than 20m.

The Invacom is ok as long as your dish to receiver cable is shortish, otherwise the Inverto is said to be better, and try to get a CM offset feedhorn too.

edit: beat me to it, jpsr.
I read that the Inverto Black Ultra does better than a C120 most of the time

This hobby can prove expensive if you aren't careful, but CM dishes are always sought after, so it won't be a total loss.

The inverto black ultra works well on the 1.2 and the feedhorn and c120 lnb works best from a 1.8 cm up.Thats the results from most memers on here, also read it on other forums too.

Its a waste of time even changing it, even if there is 1 db in the difference its not going to pull in a blank signal.

What size dish are you planning to use - hope its not the 2.4 Fortec listed in your profile.
