You can try but these dishes are not known for their quality. Would be a good experiment if anything. You would probably need to find a better location for the dish, as you're in danger of not clearing the trees with the dish being ground mount.

thats not a channel master dish, looks to be a steel dish where as channel master are made of fibreglass. in the picture this is what a channel master 1.8m looks like.

HeY wod, it's alluminium and 185cm high and 175 I'm width, it's the same as my triax 1.1, I wonder is it a good dish, just have to get my 3inch pole and level but hard enough to do when your working during the day

How is it the same as a Triax TD110? Triax is smaller in both dimensions and made of steel.

You will only find out how good it is once you install the dish and align it up on 5east, 11747v is it for the extra pl channels your after ?

A Triax TD 110 is made of galvanised and coated steel.

Triax don't make aluminium dishes.
No offence taken.

Not sure I want to enter the discussion re dish sizes in Ireland ..as I don't have access to relevant info ..
The only comment I can make is re - receiver gain ..
fwiw The DrHD F15 is the most sensitive tuner in a stb ..I've ever encountered ..and often pulls signals from weak fringe channels that other tuners/receivers don't even register.
It doesn't perform miracles ..but just might make the difference in bad weather..
As luck would have it the main European vendor _is_ based in Ireland ..and often advertises on Fleabay..

Hi Dj ...
No ..the F15 uses its own proprietry firmware upgradeable via usb pen ..
I suspect it probably is a variation of linux running inside ...but is not tweakable as many other boxes are such as the DM800.
Source code isn't available ..

Hello,

I read your profile. Can you please tell what does Dreambox do?

Cheers

I barely get Viasat on a 1m dish in the Scottish Borders (very weak signal disappears at the merest hint of drizzle). You dont have much chance in Belfast.

I want to get this( viasat latvia) in south east Ireland im going for the latvia pack because of massive price difference, is their any difference in the channel line up with via scandinavia and latvia? please someone let me know if so.

Ok im thinking of playing it safe and going with one of these
-http://www.satsklep.pl/index.php?s=produkt&id_prod=1038&id_kat=170&id_typu=0

Has anyone achived this in ireland yet? does anyone think that size dish would work with rain fade etc?
If the 1.5 works great, dont want to put up a 1.8 if it's overkill and price too.
Anyone any thoughts,

Anyone any thoughts,

What's you location its all important for receiving viasat here in Ireland. use Google maps and post back. but really you will be needing a 1.8m dish for reliable reception of viasat
