What size dish are you planning to use - hope its not the 2.4 Fortec listed in your profile.
yes im afraid so, have it on thor at moment for tv2pl hd channels, getting good signal 85% signal quality and only 30% with 1.2m andrew dish.

looks like my 1.8m cm is going to be fixed on the same sat!!!! :(

he told me he could get it too and even in heavy rain, so i would say he could, i am not too far from him, if he can get nordic anyone can as he is situated very far west near castlebar.

well if my installer cant do it saturday i think he owes me a favour

if you cant get nordic i will buy dish off ya if ya like lol

yeh you can buy it for what i paid for it ii just txted him asking what he got on the meter

did steve say if he was using feedhorn or just normal lnb to get viasat.

dunno tbh, but i now have a inverto c120 lnb and andrews feedhorn, hopefully he will get back to me on what his readings were

i have both a invacom quad c120 lnb and inverto quad c120 lnb on my 2.4m fortec, i think invacom c120 works a small bit better for my dish, if chris gets nordic for you make sure you tighten nuts and bolts it get be hard to get signal again.

It doesnt work like that - in extreme fringe reception conditions signal strength can vary wildly over just a few miles.

for this satellite beam it does alright, a few miles can make a big difference.

It's amazing how educated these forums make us lol

no go for nordic beam on 4.8e on a channel master 1.8m, if anybody is interested in buying a channels master 1.8m please pm me.

Very odd - I would have thought you'd get SOMETHING from the Nordic beam? Did you get anything on the FSS beam (i.e. the one higher powered than the Nordic one but lower than European in > 12600MHz range)?

We have seen the same effect with Astra 2D over the years as well.
