Issue with BER

Getting loads of BER on my dream and not scanning automatically. I can only get channels on Hotbird by scanning manually. It works fine on my PCI card thought so is my tuner faulty?
 
Ok, so I was going to throw it out of the window so left it for the day. Tried again today and noticed that the BER went to zero at one point so kept screwing the F Connector and wigling the wire until it went and now it's scanning fine now :)

They don't call this a self-help Forum for nothing!
 
Yeah :) I'm actually surprised at how small the boxes are in general!
