My Satellite Setup
3.1m dish, prime focus, invacom quad lnb, sky+ pace box, 1.25 dish for troubleshooting
My Location
canary islands
Canary Island residents and others, ITV is back on a standard dish. Add frequency 11973, find channels and select 7451.
Seems to be Meridian

7450 is Meridian but is using a very low bit rate.
7451 is Central.

For those in Fuerteventura, ITV is back on the other channels option. 11.973 and saving 7451 gets ITV.

Sorry Bird Brain, just noticed your post.

Threads merged.

2B South, tagged as 7450, 7451, 7455, 7560, 7565 and 7570. As mentioned 7451 working at this time.

Could this be tests for ITV1 +1?

Might be - six ITV1 +1 macrio regions were epg testing on the 7xxx labels late last year but the tests were cancelled in the Autumn and nothing ever came of it.

At the moment these two new services are *not* ITV1 +1.

BTW - 7450 is fta but flagged as scrambled. therefore most none sky receivers will happily give a picture (although the bit rate is horribly low and gives a mega blokky picture at times)

Sky boxes wil NOT show this one as its got the nds encryption flag set

So does this new activity suggest "ITV1 + 1" is back on the cards?

"ITV1 Central S" and "ITV1 Central E" have been removed from Astra 2D and have reappeared on the Astra 2B South beam. A Sky viewing card is required. If your registered SKY address is not in the correct area as shown on MAP in BELOW LINK then you need to add it using Other Channels. The frequency is:
11973 V 27500 2/3

If that is the case then I'm gussing this is not a test for ITV1 +1...

The big question now is what the other four SIDs that have appeared on the TP are going to be used for!

Could the +1 ITVs be moving South? It has been rumoured they would be taking them off of Freesat at some point. That would use three of them leaving just one mystery to be solved.

The ITV +1s are safe on freesat atm - within the last few days the new controller has said it doesnt make sense to remove them. What ITV *may* do is start up a new premium channel of some sort thats in a pay package.

Beats me why ITV, who are a Partner in Freesat, would want to disadvantage themselves by reducing FTA exposure unless the quid pro quo is some new goodies to take their place on 2D.

One word answers it all - money!

and now 7450, 7451, 7455, 7560, 7565 and 7570 are not available on this frequency at all on my sly box....

I have just had to do a full reboot on my Sky box.

11973 V 27500 2/3 is now showing:

Sony TV Asia
MAX
ITV Central S
ITV Central E

Interesting. The two ITV Central regions I stored in Other Channels ysterday are still working, but a scan of 11973 V 27500 2/3 with the SKY box finds NO CHANNELS. I wonder if they have hidden them in some way to stop people adding them - that's a first!! This would reduce the number of overseas viewers to only those having the correct regions on the EPG.

On my Pace 2600C1 on a manual scan I get Sony TV Asia, Max, ITV1 Central E and ITV1 Central S. I haven't got access to a FTA box at the moment to confirm if anything else is there.
