ITV HD in Guernsey/Channel Islands?

I have just setup my Humax Foxsat putting in my postcode in Guernsey, I can get BBC HD but I can't seem to get ITV HD. Am I right in thinking that I have to access ITV HD through ITV1 using the red button? I have also tried channel 977 ITV London but still can't get ITV HD!! Do you guys think I may need to enter a different postcode? I know I will loose the Channel Islands regional channel.

Try a mainland UK postcode - the ITV regions that arent part of the ITV 1 company dont carry the red button info.

Also remember if you see the ITV HD "black card" then you have correctly got ITV HD. Its only on air with programming about 4 or 5 hours a week.

I have put in a Weymouth postcode and now are getting ITV1 WCountry but I still don't get a red button option.

Does anyone know if ITV HD is on air at the moment? can't find any info on what's on!!

Any idea's?

Remember though that the red button option is ONLY available when an HD programme is being transmitted.

Even with you Channel Islands postcode you should get ITV1 London on channel 977. This has been provided for those in the Channnel Islands, Northern ireland and Scotland, whos local regions do not carry ITV HD.

i have a problem no one can answer.
itv on Astra 2 d will not reach here because its a week signal.
itv is on 12.402 v and has to be loaded on the others section on the sky box.
the box is on a UPS and i have the ups set on the highest setting on V.
this means when the mains go out the ups runs at 192V ac but measuring this it is really 180V ac.
i put 2 new batteries on this two 12 volt 7 amp batteries in parallel to we have 12v at 14 amp new batteries. this ups Is a 350 watt one and it is running just one sky box rated at 35 watts .
after this i thought i had the problem solved it ran for 9 days and boom
today the box went to stand by mode.
global says that probably sky sends a update and the box goes to the stand by mode.
if that was the case my home box should go to stand by mode as well i an watching sci-fi or the e-channel and it does not.
the stand by has been shut off on all boxes.
is there a way i can load the other itv on to 103??
some one was talking about a f card probably free sat card.
but free sat is on Astra 2d and it is not receivable even with a 4 meter dish here.
is 180v ac mains too low to run a panasonic 31 model box??
this has been running since 20 march 2009 until today 28 march around 6 pm.
has anyone have any ideas?? its not the box i tried 2 boxes both the same.thanks

Not correct - ITV London is provided simply because it has the audio description on it.

Only by obtaining an ftv card for one of the 6 sub regions transmitted away from 2D - theres no way to fudge the epg into doing anything else.

hello to all
the Irv 1 running on the ups with the 2 12v 7 amp batteries ran for 9 days and had to be reset.
this is the longest.
i reset it Sunday morning 29 march 09 and testing again.
with the new batteries in parallel this ups is set at the highest voltage setting.
it runs at 180v ac 50 hertz.
no one seams to know if this is too low.
the box is rated at 220v to 230v and at 35 watts.
the usp is rated at 350 watts.
global says that sky is is probably sending a update and the box goes to stand by.
if that was the case my home box setting on the sci-fi or e-channel should do the same and it is not on a ups at all and it runs all the time.

any ideas out there?
