Hello everybody,

Back on an old thread on the restoration of a SMR 1224 (restoration / modification Jaeger 1224 - SatsUK)
Jaeger 1224 restoration/modification - SatsUK

make by RimaNTSS but he does not remember exactly the details of the modifications made 6 years ago.

he said:
"all the gears have been removed to tighten them" how to tighten them ?

the 2 parts with the gears with 4 screws added to tighten the gears

There are also the 2 red Allen screws what are they used for?
allen screw.jpg
I also have the magnetic wheel that I tightened several times, I think there is a little "play" with this magnetic wheel, there is a very slight shift in the number of pulses, it would come from all gears?magnetic wheel.jpg

do I have to dismantle everything to check! (to see pictures) ?"

Thanks to everyone who can give me answers

There are also the 2 red Allen screws what are they used for? Behind those red screws are springs , they put tension on the worm axel to the worm wheel
Dont put to much tension on that wom axel , it can break
They should stick out 1 mm or are even with that block

I dont think the miscounts is done by the gears , maybe the distance between the reedswitch and the swinging magnetic wheel .

do I have to dismantle everything to check! (to see pictures) ?" If those 4 scews are loose and you can move that motor gear part a little apart from that big main gear , both plastic covers need to be removed

Hello,

I'm looking for where exactly are the metal slats positioned around the mechanism of the Jaeger SMR 1224?

I found 9 metal slats by dismantling the SMR 1224.

(I disassembled it a few months ago and I'm reassembling now)

3 are known as shown in the photos.

others ?

The other picture of the bottom plate with the 3 red arrows shows the right place

after disassembling the smr 1224 engine i decided to restore it with a new paint, the engine was repaired in 2015 after a breakdown replacement of the hardware with steel bolts, I still have to finish it but I'm on the good road

Hello,

I knew something was wrong with my Jaeger SMR 1224 After cleaning the worm

I discovered that it was about to break. In addition this worm is very hard to disassemble and I did not succeed.

I'm looking for someone who could find a solution to fix it or fix it for me.

Thank you all for your answers

Hello,

The broken worm has been repaired by Trust (golden hands)

I thank him very much.

The 2 equally defective ball bearings have been replaced.

The spigot has also been replaced since I had to drill it. Also made by Trust .
