Because Joyne is a Subscription Package and is currently testing.

It's not uncommon for Channels to be FTA for a while and although it's probably done for technical reasons, there's a Marketing element too ..... People see something they like and when the package encrypts they are moved to pay up.

You are out of luck there - its already been announced its a subs package - starting at €13/month for the bottom package. Its designed for Dutch tourists travelling round Europe.

Nice while it lasted I did try deleting all channels then rescanned they all came back but this time $ but no encryption symbol showing.
