press power button while plugging power lead into back of dm 800 this will boot into ethernet proggram mode . wait few secs while box tries to find dhcp address , then unplug power wait few secs and retry plugging power pback in , reflash with serial port.

Thanks for move. My dreambox 800 is dead, the only sign of life is the ethernet lights on the back when i power on. Have tried all other methods like null serial upload and other tricks but to no avail. Have searched for jtag on dreambox 800 but seems the only Jtag information is on Dreambox 500.

If Ethernet lights on, but power not shown on display, solution : open all screw of dreambox, remove tuner from socket, now start power supply, now you surprised dreambox start normal & display show on display panel. it is tuner fault. tuner loose from it's socket. so now put tuner in it's socket & pull right side of body, if u have a cable tie, you tied with main body. tuner tied tighten with body and now dreambox working normal...

Oh and as the original post was almost 2 years ago hes either fixed it or scrapped the box by now.
