Hello folks,

I ordered a "cloned" dm800 and have few questions.

I have been using dm500 for last 3 years so I am quite familiar with blue button and installing cccam and everything once I have flashed it with Gemini.

I remember on dm500 it is unsafe to use gemini images after 4.2 version as they blackout your box.

How is it with dm800?

Which is the safest gemini version I should use to flash my dm800?

I believe you flash the image on dm800 the same way u flash 7025 , so that should not be a problem, but is there anything else I should keep in mind so it does not KILL my box?

Can someone provide me with a link to the gemini flash image (safest version)

Thanks a million!

First open a telnet window
then type in ip of dm800 192.168.1.XXX
user is root
default password is dreambox
then type ipkg list and press return

I think when you do that through telnet, it tells you the second stage of the image you have, but not the actual bootloader.

For example my bootloader is 72, but when I do a ipkg list | grep secondstage i get 75 reported. I think this may be because the image I have most probably was a 75 patched to work on 72.
