Hello Kinga.
I do hope you can help with information regarding the lack of audio on certain channels of which there are certainly at least a dozen on Cband using AAC ..
All channels produce pictures but sadly some channels produce no audio although the pictures are perfect.
I will list a couple of them which have picture but no sound

There are quite a few others ..but these 2 come immediately to mind.

There was a time when I could ask on the Forum of which I am a member ..but this forum has all but been abandoned and no 'official' represents on there now.

Has this exceptional set top box been abandoned after basically 12 months out of production ?
Firmware updates are rare and no way to get any help is available.

I am a DXer and a prominent member of satellites.co.uk where I have been singing the praises of this exceptional product since its release...but now am a little embarrased and sad that I can no longer advocate this receiver with pride and confidence.

On seperate note ..
In the old days when Christian would broadcast in German and in English by satellite ..I and many of the members at satellites .co.uk were avid fans...and You and Christian even answered a couple of questions for me on air.
I do miss those days ..and the English broadcasts.
Such a great pity its no longer there..
Christian was held in very high regard by so many ...and not just in Germany.
I do hope you can forward my problem to the manufactures of the F15 ...or at least point me at an active source so that I can perhaps get this issue resolved.
The F15 is almost the perfect set top box for serious satellite Dxers and enthusiasts ...
..how sad that it fell by the wayside with such a small issue which is probably fixable in firmware.

Please take the time to reply ...even if its only to say you cannot help.
The F15 was sold with DrDishes endorsement ...so I assume you have a connection to the manufacturer...and I have nowhere else to turn for help.
Sorry I do not speak German ..so I hope this finds an English speaker which I know you are Kinga ...from the satellite broadcasts.

This morning I contacted DrDish (Christian) again to thank him for taking an interest and forwarding my problem to the F15 Techs..
They will contact me directly if a solution is available..
I also sent photos to Christian of Christina ...sporting her work - in - progress wings ..plus a snapshot of my latest fringe capture.
I didn't know he once owned the same dish ;)
This was his reply :-

Hi Evan, thanks for the pictures. Indeed its quite a success to receive the stations in the UK. I recognize my old antenna. It is an ALCOA made around 1985. Unfortunately running even small tv-station no time is left to play around with the dishes. Below the answer from the rusian importer. The enigineer in charge will contact you directly.

Any chance you can get them to add 422 support as well ;) It's actually the main reason for me not buying one so far. Having read all the blurb on them it really seems aimed at the enthusiast so it's surprising (to me at least) that it doesn't already support it.

I too would like this addition Paul ..but simply isn't possible ..due to the chipset used.
The ability to decode 4:2:2 has to be hard coded into the decoder chip...so I guess this mod will never come..
If they ever make a box with the same high gain ...and the added facillity to do this ...my piggy bank will receive a serious hammer blow.
