One of the early S ky dishes, branded ALBA and I think they only came in white.

It's seen better days

Thanks John_m for reminding me of that one.

I'll have to take a couple of - better - pictures, as I know the winter hasn't been kind to that dish.
 
One £3 purchase later (Olympus Camedia C750) et voila.
 
I know, complete as well, apart from the mains adapter
 
Another year, another winter takes its toll

Aww thats really sad.

I would still use it in my dish farm though - its looking more and more like an teleport groundstation in our back yard! :-rofl2

It might still outdo a zone 1 dish, if the lower feed arm was taped up.
 
If the feed arms could be put into position I think it would be at least as good as a zone 2 despite the hole.

You could get it and find out CH as it is obviously unused and unloved.

It is a pity it doesn't have the original blue cap LNB but I suspect it was the first part of the dish to develop a hole.
 
There's more than one hole, most of the lower part of the rim is about to break away.

I will keep taking pictures on an annual basis.
 
It might only last a few weeks. A breath of wind could whip it off the mount.

The chimney mount looks solid though. That could last a few decades especially without the dish on it.
 
There are a lot of unused old satellite dishes where I live that due to rust have had the LNB fall off or the arm is just hanging down and some are just pointing down towards the ground. All they are good for is the bin but no one is arsed to spend money getting them taken down. I just hope no one is seriously injured or killed when it does fall off.
 
I will pass by to check if anything is still around, though I think the dish was removed around three years ago.

It had lasted upwards of 20 years without maintenance, I remember fitting the same type when the medium power broadcasts started.
