Hi Guys this is probably a silly question but how do I find out what specific key sets i need to unlock stations. ie I install the satan bundle it gives me access to premier 1,2,3,4, and some others. but if i was trying to unlock some mtv stations is there a different set of keys i need. I did have access to NASN for a while however it is no longer available. Euro sports was the same had it for a while now its gone. I am using the dm500s with a freesat card, three lnb's pointed to 28E, 19E and 13E not interested in xxx just english language stuff for the kids ------ sport, music, films, Thanks for the help and have a great christmas

Do you mean which key within a key file? The provider ID will tell you the channel and the key for that channel.

Look in keylist.txt and you'll see "N 4101" : 4101 is the provider ID for D+

Different emus (cams) use different files and sometimes not all the keyfiles are updated. It gets more complicated than that but that's the basic idea; edit the key for the correct provider ID and it'll "open" (if you add the correct key).

sorry let me try to clarify
1. if i load satan bundle should that contain all the keys for programs on above mentioned sats or are there other key bundles i should be looking for.
2. does it matter if i install the complete bundle's.
3. I couldn't find N 4101 in the keylist file but did see several named services
4. how do i find out what the provider id is

Thanks again for the help

Yes patoinsf, you should load the keybundle as a whole. You could always try different key files such as 'dreambox keys' to see if you can clear anything more. There is always an element of hit and miss in this game, that's what makes it a hobby.
Try opening up the 'softcam' file in the satan keybundle and have a look through, the providers are listed with the keys in a lot of cases, if you edit any lines and want to see the result, remember to select/restart the Mgcamd emu first.
It's just a matter of sampling what's out there to see what suits your needs best mate.

Regards,
Ollie

Also remember that many of the keylists contain out of date information referring to services that are now secure - it pads their file out and makes it "look better"

Also that many services are totally secure so no matter what you do you aint going to get it open without an official card.

Thanks a million for the info guys. I will keep tweeking and see what i can come up with, And as you say it is just a hobby and as such can not be taken tooooooo seriously. TAKE CARE AND HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS.

However, it should be pointed out that must key bundles you can get off the net, providing they do regular updates cover most channels.

there really isnt much point doing each encryption seperatley unless of course you just want to know how too.

most key bundles open the most popular channels.
