LA7 HD on Atlantic Bird 12.5W

I ran into something rather weird today on Atlantic Bird 1. It's full of Italian channel feeds but LA7 HD on 12718H SR 36510 FEC 2/3 doesn't seem to be working very well. I get a good enough signal (13db) but the picture keeps breaking up all the time. LA7 HD works perfectly on 12515H, though.

I am suspecting it's because of a high symbol rate and that revision M tuner in my cloned Dreambox isn't up for it.....

Can anyone else receive it OK?

You won't see any of the channels on that TP with a Dreambox, or any other receiver unless it can resolve adaptive coding and modulation transmissions.

I can though with my TBS 6925 PCi card -

Pardon my ignorance but what does it mean?

I just noticed that I have a very similar issue to the above on Canal+ HD and Canal+ Sport HD on 10934H on 1W but I can see more of what's going on there. Might be down to a lower signal level though at 9dB. No other TP has this problem though....

Well those Advanced coding modulation (ACM) channels on AB1 are supposed to be bound for retransmission to land-based DTT transmitters in Italy. I'm no expert, but I know ACM is more efficient of bandwidth, and was developed originally to allow channel operators to increase channel bit-rates and change FECs to allow for rain fade or other poor reception problems in the DTT chain to be overcome; presumably some kind of feed back of conditions are sent back to the channel operator.
