Labgear kit - dish set up

Hi I have just bought a labgear sattelite and have set it up, but cannot pick up bbc, or itv or any english channels, mainly foreign ones. Can anyone please tell me why that is. It as also brought through all the channels you can pay for which i dont want. Thanks

Fairly obvious you've locked up the dish on the wrong satellite, ie 19e, 16e, 23e or 13e. Can you post some of the channels you are receiving and will be able to help further.

Hiya one of the channels is islam tv on hotbird, did pick up sky news but thats gone off now thanks. Diane

Sounds as if you have hotbird 13e. Are you using a meter for alignment or the receiver?

Swing the dish East and lower the Elevation.

Referring to using an in-line squawker meter or the receiver signal screen to find the satellite?
