It's just a label ...........

"Astra 2" doesn't split down to 2A, 2B, 2D either

The fact that 2D is now replaced by 1N isn't terribly important. Not important at all.
 
Is there then a way of knowing with a meter that you are on 1N, or 2D etc before scanning the channels?
