Advice Needed Laminas 150 cm on Channel master 1.2m polar mount

My Satellite Setup
Sedea 80 cm, 1w 13e 19.2e Inverto black ultra LNB
Laminas 150 motorized 47.5w to 76.5e Megasat Diavolo + scalar ring
Channel Master 1.8m
My Location
South France, North of Marseille
Someone already put a Laminas 1.5m dish (or other 1.5m dish) on Channel master 1.2m polar mount using an adapter plate ?

I wonder if the actuator can support 4kg more
( Laminas 13kg, CM 1.2m 9.2kg )
 
Yes, you're right, wind load is the main problem, especially with my setup.
For the moment, nothing has moved with winter winds and 110 km/h gusts but I'm planning to reinforced installation for the Laminas
 
Replacement bearings are relatively easy to source should the originals wear beyond acceptable.
 
ok, I made an adapter plate and used an attachment adapter from gibertini 150 to Laminas 180. I don't have any problems, but it's true that I have the antenna sheltered by the wall of the house, or the terrace. I think you won't have any problems either.
 
In order to fully use the originality of CM polar mount, you need not put the adapting plate really.
I have a 1.5m offset on a CM 1.2 Polar mount for 17 years now and with a 18 inch actuator works fine.
Is yr dish metal? You just drill 4 holes and thats it.

No possible for me, Laminas dish are made of fiberglass ...
But it's good thing to see that 17 year later this setup still works!
You're lucky to live in Cyprus, love this Island and you can catch Mena beams easily !

:Y. I envy CM offset dishes. VERY HARD TO GET HERE.. I installed around 80 motorized CM but couldnt save one for myself.:-doh

I put a Laminas 1800 (180 cm) on a CM 1.2 polarmount:

ChannelMaster Polarmount restoration (for a Laminas 180!)

Than, keeping some parts of the original CM polarmount i built a new plate an added a 2nd motor:

That's just what I was thinking about cutting the adaptater plate just like yours.
How do you control yours 2 actuators, with 2 vbox ?
