Laminas OFC 1200 on Channel Master Polar Mount

Have made a small project the last few weeks.
Finally a new 3" pole concreated in the ground , not as deep as i wanted, hit bedrock before. So had to drill some holes and reinforcing bar in these holes.
Adapterplate made of 8mm aluminium. The first test did not work so good as the declination of the disc was not enough, but some washers did the job and now it works perfect.
Having a mutch better signal now at 75e than before as i can adjust more exact now.
The dish are so stable now so i hope this setup will be ok for some years.

Looks good. You'll have to change your "my system" now. How much of the arc are you covering? And how does the mount feel when opened all the way round to the west?

BTW on mine I put some nice big washers at either end of the actuator and they keep it under much better control than just hanging on the rod ends.

Im covering 75e-30w, and at the end of the west side the actuator is a little "loose" But as im not going futher than 30w i don't see a problem with that.
At 75e it's very stable as i has the actuator on the east side. The CM Polar Mount is perfect for this dish as it's made for a dish that weight more than the Laminas,and there is no flex in the 8mm adapterplate.
Like your idea of the big washers, have to take a look for a solution for my setup as im not pleased with the stress on the rod end.

You can't really see what is happening in the pictures in the other thread so I've attached a side view (covered in rain) so you can see it better. The washers touch down on the side of clamp so all the twisting force (and the weight of the actuator) goes through the washer, rather than the rod end. I did the same for the other rod end. The effect is the same; the washers transmit the twisting force and the rod ends transmit the pushing force. Bigger washers would have worked even better but that's all I had at the time.

Huevos, that looks good, your solution gave me an idea of having a spring between the big washer and the mount for the rod so it can lift up actuator a little bit. I will test if this can bee working or not.
