Seems that in almost all of the last few years of 747 manufacture, the vast majority were "Dash 8" freighters and they will be around for a long time yet. OTOH, Airbus phased out the 4-engined 340 & 380 series much earlier because they are not suitable for construction/modification as high capacity freighter configuration.
